Questions
Which formats can I convert?
You can open JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, AVIF and SVG files and convert them to JPG, PNG or WebP. That covers common jobs like WebP to JPG, PNG to JPG, JPG to PNG and PNG to WebP.
What happens to transparent backgrounds?
PNG and WebP keep transparency. JPG cannot, so transparent areas are filled with white.
Can I convert HEIC photos from my iPhone?
Most browsers other than Safari cannot open HEIC files. On an iPhone you can set the camera to save as Most Compatible, or open TinyPic in Safari.
Does converting lose quality?
TinyPic converts at high quality, so the result looks the same as the original. PNG is lossless. JPG and WebP are lossy formats, so their files can be a different size from the original. To make a file smaller on purpose, use the Image Compressor.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser, and your files never leave your device.
